Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: Yes, our Culinary team at the Hyatt Dulles is happy to create a menu that reflects your wishes.
Q: Can I taste all the food before the wedding?
A: Of course. A tasting of select menu items will be scheduled several months prior to your wedding. At that time, we can make any necessary adjustments.
Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired and your wedding specialist will advise you regarding any additional costs for the extended time.
Q: Can I have an open bar at the wedding? What are my options for Alcoohol beverage Service?
A: You may choose from a Four-Hour Open Bar, Beer and Wine Bar, Consumption Bar or a Cash Bar. Your wedding specialist will advise you of the costs and inclusions for each.
Q: Do you have suggested vendors for flowers, music, photography, etc?
A: We work on a regular basis with several vendors. We will be happy to give you a Vendor List.
Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at Hyatt Dulles?
A: Certainly. We have several locations that would be appropriate for these occasions.
Q: Are taxes and gratuities included in the pricing?
A: Yes, contract pricing on minimums for food and beverage will not include all taxes and gratuities. Please remember, pricing is not final until a signed contract is returned to your wedding specialist. Our wedding menu selections, however, are based on inclusive prices.
No, there is an additional 22% Service Charge and 5% State Tax added to the wedding package pricing.
Q: Can my guests have a late check-out the morning after the wedding?
A: We will try to accommodate your guests' requests. However, this will be dependent upon the overall occupancy of the hotel on the day in question.
Q: Can I decorate the reception room?
A: Generally, yes. There will be certain limitations in some rooms, which your wedding consultant can review with you. Allow us to give you ideas and suggestions that have successfully worked in the past.
